The aim of the TCCV is to conduct cutting-edge research in the field of smart textiles, focusing on textile based composites and high performance materials. Responsible for one of Europe flagship R&D projects in this specific area, the centre is a trailblazer in the textile research community throughout Europe.

The research projects carried out by the centre will improve, and enhance, the existing competencies of textile manufacturers.

OUR MAIN GOALS

Generation of value creation in the textile industry through collaborative research projects with the goal of establishing new and innovative products, processes and services
Establishing a critical mass of expertise and technical infrastructure in a physical research centre located in Europe’s textile hot-spot Vorarlberg
Enhancing industry-science-relationships as well as international cooperation for bundling scientific and industrial competencies for tackling interdisciplinary challenges
Supporting innovation, commercialization and dissemination of novel technologies by the means of technology transfer
