The Textile Competence Center Vorarlberg is organised as a K-project within the framework of COMET projects – Competence Centers for Excellent Technologies (COMET) are funding initiatives supported by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) to enable and support collaborations between industry and academic institutions.

The objective of the “K-Project” line is to initiate high-quality research in science-industry cooperation with a medium-term perspective and a clearly defined subject having the potential for further improvement.

It is funded by the BMK, the BMDW and the government of Vorarlberg.
The project framework is organised by the FFG, Austrian Research Promotion Agency, and is coordinated by the University of Innsbruck.
The scientific coordination and the project management is organised by the Research Institute of Textile Chemistry and Textile Physics
